A multi-layer matching production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring a great image of Wolverine enraged after evil Morph has tricked him while being disguised as Jean Grey, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season two episode "Whatever It Takes," which aired on November 6, 1993. Measuring 10.25"x14" overall, with the character image measuring 7.75"x4.25", the cel and background are in very good condition. The cel displays minor surface wear, slight line wear, production-related adhesive residue to the bottom corners of one cel layer, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the cel paint from studio use and storage. The background shows minor edge wear.
