A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Jean Grey wearing her Marvel Girl costume and Cyclops, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season three episode "The Dark Phoenix, Part IV: The Fate of the Phoenix,"which aired on November 26, 1994. The characters are on two separate layers that measure 9"x10.5" each, with the character image measuring 5"x3.5" as they are set up slightly off-register, the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear, slight line wear, and backing paper stuck to the reverse of the paint from studio use and storage. The cel is paired with a color copy reproduction background for presentation purposes.
