An original production background from the Filmation Studios animated series, "The Superman/ Aquaman Hour of Adventure" (1967-1968). Featuring an ominous freighter with a single red window, the hand-painted background was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the episode entitled, "The Saboteurs" which aired on September 16, 1967. Measuring 10.5"x23.75" overall, the background is in very good condition with some minor edge wear and surface wear in the paint.
